Twelve21 Global exists because of a story God was writing long before the ministry had a name. Our founder, Yusuph Emmanuel, grew up in the remote villages of Tanzania, experiencing spiritual darkness, limited educational opportunity, and generational poverty firsthand. He was not an outside observer of these realities—he lived them. God transformed that story into a calling that now shapes Twelve21: strengthening the local church, providing Christ-centered education, and walking alongside families with the hope of Jesus for lasting transformation.
For many children in rural Tanzania, the school day begins with a two- or three-hour walk. When they arrive, they may find more than 100 students in a single classroom, one teacher doing their best to teach them all, and too few desks or textbooks for every child.
When this becomes a child’s normal, it begins to shape what they believe about themselves and their future. Dreams become smaller. Expectations become lower. Many grow up believing life will always be this way.
Without access to quality education, today’s limitations often become tomorrow’s reality. Children grow into adults with fewer opportunities, and the same struggles are passed from one generation to the next.

Twelve21 does not invite people to fund an organization. We invite them to participate in the mission of bringing the hope of Jesus to spiritually dark and impoverished communities in Tanzania.
