Join Us in Bringing Hope to Kome Island
Twelve21 Global exists to bring the hope of Jesus to some of the most spiritually dark and impoverished places on earth. This summer, our team will serve on Kome Island, Tanzania — a remote and largely unreached region where spiritual darkness, disease, and generational poverty have taken root.
We will bring medical care, evangelism, and discipleship to this vulnerable community, partnering with local pastors to share the Gospel and nurture new believers. This isn’t just outreach. It’s Kingdom planting.
We’d love for you to partner with us. Please select a trip participant below to support through prayer and financial giving.
Trip Leaders: Jo O’Steen, Wade Daniel, and Yusuph Emmanuel

Josiah Emmanuel
Hi, my name is Josiah,
I am excited to go on my first-ever mission trip — to Tanzania, with my dad. We’ll be visiting villages, loving people, and telling them about Jesus.
Please pray for me — that God would use me, grow me, and help me serve others well.

Jessica Douglas
Hi, I’m Jessica, many of you know, I have a heart and passion for Tanzania, especially the students at Twelve 21’s school and the communities they are working in. I would be grateful for your prayers and support as I prepare to return to Kome Island to share Jesus.

Brittany Downing
Hi, I’m Brittany from West Columbia, a pharmacy technician who loves helping people of all ages and backgrounds. I’m going on a mission trip to Tanzania with Twelve21 to serve others and grow in my faith. I’m excited to meet new people, share God’s love, and see how He works through me — your prayers and support will make this journey possible!

Debra Thomas
Hello! My name is Deb Thomas and I’m from New Kensington, (near Pittsburgh) Pennsylvania. When I retired in 2024 after working in the child welfare field for 33 years, I was looking for something meaningful to fill the void. An opportunity to go on a mission trip to Tanzania with Twelve21 Global was presented to me. With much apprehension, I said yes. I was filled with fear of the unknown, anxiety about all kinds of things and feelings of inadequacy. But God gave me grace and I went. It was challenging and certainly out of my comfort zone. But I saw the amazing work God is doing in Tanzania and I experienced His work in my own heart as I responded to His call. Now I am looking forward to my third mission trip with Twelve21 Global. God is working! And I am blessed and humbly grateful to be going where He is sending me. As I prepare for this journey, I would so appreciate your prayers and support!

Maddie Dean
Hi. I’m Maddie Dean, a pharmacist from Columbia, South Carolina. I’ve had the privilege of serving in Tanzania the past four summers to share the gospel and provide medical care in remote areas. I believe God is calling me to serve on the June 2026 trip to Kome Island and invite others to join me. I am so grateful for your prayers and support as I prepare for the journey!

Kathy Fletcher
Hey! I’m Kathy Fletcher and I love teaching children and watching their faces light up when they learn something new. I love sharing Jesus with those around me not just in word but how I live my life. I have another opportunity to go to Tanzania Africa again to work with the students, their families and Twelve21 leaders to bring the hope of salvation through Jesus Christ and to learn to work together through the Community Transformation Program. I’m asking for your prayers, love and support as I follow in obedience and live out my personal calling.

Tara Rosema
Tara Rosema knows the power of God’s grace and the beauty of walking in the good works He has prepared. Raised in a low-income family in western Pennsylvania, she was stirred by TV commercials depicting children who had much less than herself. God placed in her heart a desire for people everywhere to know Him and to have their basic needs met. After witnessing poverty firsthand while on a mission trip as teenager, she pursued a career in Clinical Psychology, watching with expectation to see how God would use her to serve people. Now equipped with education in Biblical and Theological Studies as well as Psychology, Tara is committed to sharing the knowledge of God and encouraging others to pursue His mission for their lives with surrendered hearts to Jesus.

Hang Le Nguyen
My name is Hang and I’m a nurse from Orlando, FL. This will be my 6th trip to Tanzania and 4th trip to Kome island. I thank the Lord that He continues to provide me with opportunities to serve Him and the people of Kome island. I’m excited to be back to care for His people physically and spiritually. Thank you always for your prayers and support!

Phoenix Word
I am Phoenix Word and am from Dallas, TX. The Lord is calling me back to Tanzania for the second time and I could not be more overjoyed. I am serving again this year as an EMT in the medical clinic and am praying for the Lord to use me and my fellow servants in new and mighty ways. I am so grateful for all your prayers and support as I prepare for this journey!

Mishael Beck
Hi there! My name is Mish, I’m all the way from Johannesburg, South Africa. I believe God is doing great things and bringing revival like never before and I don’t want to miss the harvest. Being able to partner with Twelve21 and go into Tanzania will be an incredible privilege as men and women from all over get together to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Luke Beck
Hi there my name is Luke, I’m 25 years old from South Africa. I have been radically saved out of a dark life and I now know the joy of following Jesus. God gave me a heart for people as soon as I got saved and I’m hoping to make an impact in Tanzania this year in June. I’m excited to meet the locals and embrace this wild Kingdom journey!

2026 June Mission Trip
This fundraiser directly supports the ministry needs of the trip. Gifts here provide the critical resources our team will use to serve families on Kome Island — including medical supplies, testing kits, pharmaceuticals, Bibles, and discipleship materials.
By giving, you’re helping ensure that the team is equipped to meet both physical and spiritual needs as we bring the healing and hope of Jesus to this unreached community.
