Blessed So We Can Bless.

When I was little, my family didn’t have much. There were many times God used friends, neighbors, church family, and strangers to provide things we needed. They were often things we had not asked for, but it was always just the right thing at just the right time. I watched as my mom prayed, and waited, and received. I also watched as my mom saw others in need, prayed, then gave. I am blessed to have such an example of faith, prayer, and giving in my life.

 A Good Measure, Running Over

I am also blessed that God has given me resources at this time to give to others just as others have given so much for me. In this way, I learned about what it means to be part of a church family through loving one another to the extent that we share and provide for each other. For me, sponsorship is another way to engage with my church family by partnering with Twelve21 in demonstrating the love of God.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

 Constant in Prayer

I am so grateful to be able to sponsor Kelini, Faraja, Magdalena, and Marco through Twelve21 Global. I am able to do this in large part because of the education that was available to me, and the things I could achieve through that. I love that Twelve21 offers a way for me to contribute to the education of others so they can have opportunities like I did. On top of that, I know I can have an even greater impact beyond my financial contribution as I pray for these children.

God’s response to prayer is evident to me in my life, in the lives of people around me, and throughout the Bible. Time and time again, God has shown He intervenes in the lives of people as He responds to those who are praying. Because of God’s faithfulness, I know I have an impact in the lives of these four children when I ask God to bless, protect, and provide for them. As God has used others to bless me, and me to bless children through sponsorships, I pray He will also use Kelini, Faraja, Magdalena, and Marco to bless those around them.

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” (I John 5:14-15).
