We depend on God to direct our ministry through scripture and prayer. We strive to live and serve according to the truths found in scripture. God’s word is the authority, and our guide. We rely on prayer to guide our consciences in everything we undertake.
(Joshua 1:8; Psalms 119:105; Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:6; 2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe that every person is made in the image of God. People, not tasks, are the priority. We respect every person’s dignity, uniqueness, and intrinsic worth. The poor, a donor, our staff and their families, volunteers, our board of directors—all are image-bearers. We strive to reflect Christ in our relationships and interactions with one another.
(Genesis 1:27; Matthew 7:12; Ephesians 4:32, 5:21)
We strive to lead with humility and a servant’s heart. Jesus modeled servanthood. We strive to follow his example, serving with a spirit of humility, empathy, and gratitude. While considering and respecting others’ views and needs, we always look for opportunities to help and serve.
(Mark 10:45; John 13:12-15; Philippians 2:6-7)
We strive to walk and talk in the way of Jesus even when no one is watching. We want to reflect Christ by serving honestly and honorably, so that a trustworthy nature marks everything we do. We aim to shepherd with integrity and be good examples to the flock.
(Psalms 78:72; Proverbs 20:7; 1 Peter 3:15-17, 5:3)
We recognize the resources entrusted to us come from God’s hand through generous and faithful supporters. We commit to stewarding God’s gifts—finances, supplies, and people—with accountability, ensuring maximum impact for the kingdom of God.
(1 Chronicles 29:10-14; Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 12: 42-28; 2 Corinthians 8:16-21; James 1:17)
We promote a culture of lifelong learning and development. We believe that children of God growing in grace are continual learners. As we learn, we deepen our walk with God and increasing our wisdom and sensitivity to our Lord.
(Proverbs 1:5-7, 4:13; James 1:5)
